Mr. Tan joined the Singapore Administrative Service in 1991
and has worked in the Ministry of Information and the Arts, the Ministry of
Defence and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was also Principal Private Secretary
to Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew. Mr Tan graduated with a First Class Honours
Degree in History from King's College, University of London, in 1989. He
attended the Edward S Mason Programme at the Harvard Kennedy School of
Government, where he obtained his Masters in Public Administration in 2002. Mr
Tan is a Member of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR)
Board and the Energy Studies Institute Management Board. |
